Checked 3 Nov 2026

Turin's ZTL Centrale bans driving and parking from 7:30 to 10:30 on working days, Saturday excluded. A car needs Euro 3 or newer, or Euro 2 for a gas or methane car, and a permit. Every plate entering is photographed and checked against the permit database.

How to enter legally

  1. Check that the car meets the emission rule: Euro 3 or newer, or Euro 2 for a car running on LPG or methane.
  2. Apply for the ZTL permit before the trip; the permit database is what the cameras check.
  3. Staying in a hotel inside the ZTL? The hotel can claim the exemption afterwards for its guests.
