Many websites add surcharges to the official vignette price, and some are fake shops that imitate the official one. The authorities name their own shops and partners.

ASFINAG names ADAC, Autopay and Tolltickets as its official online partners at the same price. Sales points such as ÖAMTC, ARBÖ, ADAC, petrol stations, tobacconists and ASFINAG toll stations sell the digital vignette valid at once.

ASFINAG urges drivers to buy the digital vignette online only in the ASFINAG toll shop or from its official partners: many websites add surcharges to the vignette price, these sellers are not authorised, and more and more fake shops imitate the ASFINAG toll shop.

Im Gegensatz zum Verkauf der Klebevignette hat das BAZG bei der E-Vignette keine offiziellen Vertriebspartner. Drittanbieter erheben Zuschläge. Dies ist zulässig. The Czech Ministry of Transport warns that websites sell motorway vignettes above the price set by government regulation, recommends buying only on edalnice.gov.cz, at Czech Post branches or at EuroOil and RoBiN OIL stations, and publishes a list of fraudulent and unofficial e-shops.
