Ghent: the LEZ, free foreign registration and the 2026 rules
Checked 3 Nov 2026
A foreign car must register free of charge for the Ghent low-emission zone, at the latest the day after entering. The Flemish Government did not tighten the zone in 2026, so diesel Euro 5 and petrol Euro 2 keep access.
